President Trump calls for RICO investigation of OSF, Arabella
George Soros, Open Society Foundations, and Arabella Advisors: Allegations of Financing Riots
Accusations against George Soros’s Open Society Foundations (OSF) and Arabella Advisors for financing riots have persisted, often framed by critics as part of a “dark money” network supporting left-wing activism that escalates into violence. These claims portray Soros, a billionaire philanthropist, and Arabella, a for-profit firm managing nonprofit funds, as key players in funding protests against conservative policies. While some allegations cite documented grants to advocacy groups, others are dismissed as conspiracy theories, with OSF denying direct funding of riots and emphasizing support for civil rights and democracy.
Recent Allegations: 2025 DC Crime Crackdown Protests
A prominent example involves protests against President Trump’s 2025 DC crime crackdown, which includes deploying National Guard troops, federalizing police, and clearing homeless encampments. According to a New York Post report, left-wing donors, including Soros’s OSF, contributed over $20 million between 2020 and 2023 to groups like Community Change and its affiliate Community Change Action, which fiscally sponsor Free DC—a project organizing demonstrations near the White House. Free DC’s activities include nightly protests with chants and “Cop Watch Training,” drawing about 150 participants. Funding breakdowns show:
OSF: $12.6 million
Arabella’s network (Sixteen Thirty Fund, New Venture Fund, Windward Fund): $5.6 million
Tides Foundation: $1.9 million
These funds were often labeled for “civil rights advocacy.” In 2023 alone, OSF donated $4 million. Critics, like Caitlin Sutherland of Americans for Public Trust, argue this backs a “pro-crime agenda” amid DC’s rising violence. Free DC and Community Change did not respond to inquiries.
Historical Context: 2020 BLM Protests and Beyond
Similar accusations surged during the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests following George Floyd’s death. Right-wing commentators, including Rudy Giuliani, claimed Soros funded “riots” via OSF grants to organizations like the Tides Foundation, which supported activist groups. Social media amplified false claims, such as images of “Soros Riot Dance Squad” buses. Fact-checks from outlets like ADL, AP News, and Forbes labeled these as baseless, noting OSF funds legitimate advocacy but not direct protest payments or violence. OSF stated, “We do not pay protesters,” countering claims of orchestrated chaos.
Expanded Claims in 2025
In 2025, allegations extended to other events. Reports linked Soros and Arabella to funding “No Kings” rallies protesting Trump’s policies, with grants totaling $114.8 million to organizers like CHIRLA and affiliates, some allegedly using taxpayer dollars via donor-advised funds. Anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles were dubbed “Soros-style uprisings,” with claims of billionaire backing turning demonstrations volatile. Fox News and YouTube commentators accused these networks of fueling riots, while Trump threatened charges against Soros for supporting “violent riots” with dark money. Arabella, managing billions, has been scrutinized for raising $1.35 billion in 2022 to back left-leaning causes, including pro-Palestine campus protests.
Counterarguments and Polarization
Counterarguments highlight bias: Pro-Soros sources argue grants promote justice, not destruction, and accusations often carry antisemitic undertones. Recent fact-checks on “No Kings” and LA events find no direct riot funding, though indirect support via advocacy groups exists. Critics like Peter Schweizer and Elon Musk call for probes into Arabella’s opacity, suggesting it enables “influence laundering.” While funding trails exist, evidence of intentional riot financing remains circumstantial, fueling polarized debates.
Trump calls for George Soros and son Alex to be prosecuted under RICO Act
President Donald Trump is calling for liberal political donor George Soros and his son, Alex Soros, to be prosecuted under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act — accusing the father and son of supporting violent protests across the country.
The federal RICO Act is meant to target organized criminal activity, and has historically been used to prosecute mafia members.
George Soros, 95, originally founded Open Society Foundations (OSF), a grantmaking network funded by the billionaire left-wing “philanthropist,” of which his son, 39-year-old Alex Soros, serves as the chair of the OSF Board of Directors. In June, Alex married 49-year-old Huma Abedin, former Rep. Anthony Weiner’s (D-N.Y.) ex-wife.
According to Breitbart, the foundation has “partially funded” the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). This is the organization that was behind the rally held for Salvadoran illegal alien Kilmar Abrego Garcia. The rally was held shortly before his detainment on Monday, and the outlet cited grant amounts from 2018 to 2022 totaling approximately $1.6 million.
Open Society Foundations has also funded Human Rights First, which took part in suing the Trump administration on behalf of illegal aliens with deportation orders. The organization received nearly $6.2 million from Soros’ foundation.

Trump Calls for George Soros and Son Alex to Face RICO Charges: Won’t ‘Allow These Lunatics to Rip Apart America’
Breitbart News’s John Binder reported:
As Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents were readying to take custody of Abrego Garcia on Monday, the far-left group CASA held a rally in support of the accused human smuggler — who has also been accused of MS-13 gang membership, domestic violence, and abuse of women.
CASA’s Lydia Walther-Rodriguez translated at the rally for Abrego Garcia, who said he is a victim of President Donald Trump’s mass deportation efforts.
As Breitbart News has long reported, Soros’s Open Society Foundations have thrown millions at CASA to advocate for mass immigration over the years. In 2023, the Open Society Foundations awarded CASA a $250,000 grant and CASA in Action, the group’s political action committee (PAC), with $1.6 million.

Trump Calls For RICO Charges Against Soros Over Violent Protest Support; Gates Foundation Abruptly Severs Ties With Rogue Arabella Advisors
Commentary via Peter Schweizer & Seamus Bruner of the Government Accountability Institute:
The Arabella network has been exposed as a dark money machine for the radical Left. Gates has decided he doesn't like the look. Amazing how quick these 'Controligarchs' change course once they feel which way the political winds are blowing. Gates isn't suddenly a conservative hero, he's just hedging his bets because he knows the radical Left's grip is slipping.
