About A Third of US Retirees Considering Work As Economy Drops
(Million Voices) A survey published in June 2024 found that almost 1 in 3 American retirees is considering going back to work because of the soaring cost of living.
The survey was conducted by Indeed Flex amongst participants aged 62 through 85, revealing that almost a third are considering taking on temporary work or un-retiring themselves because of how poorly the economy has performed in the last several years, according to Yahoo, citing MoneyWise. A further 42% of seniors who’ve yet to retire are considering adding extra work to their plates just to make ends meet.

Biden’s Focus On Helping Cuba’s Economy Fuels Anger
(NewsMax) The Biden administration announced Tuesday that it will be lifting financial restrictions on Cuba to help boost small and private businesses on the island, while American small business owners demand that the President and Congress address inflation.
“These regulatory amendments update and clarify authorizations in support of internet-based services to promote internet freedom in Cuba, support independent Cuban private sector entrepreneurs, and expand access to certain financial services for the Cuban people,” the Treasury Department said in a press release regarding the move by President Joe Biden, according to ABC News.
