Trump - Rebuilding The Temple
The Books of Ezra and Haggai tell of Cyrus helping with rebuilding the temple
The Lord God, Our Father created America that the Gospel and the Kingdom of God might be “taken to all the earth”.1
The first statement of America’s Covenant With God was made on a little beach in Virginia in 1607:
“We do hereby dedicate this Land, and ourselves, to reach the People within these shores with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and to raise up Godly generations after us, and with these generations take the Kingdom of God to all the earth. May this Covenant of Dedication remain to all generations, as long as this earth remains, and may this Land, along with England, be Evangelist to the World. May all who see this Cross, remember what we have done here, and may those who come here to inhabit join us in this Covenant and in this most noble work that the Holy Scriptures may be fulfilled.”2 See also the Mayflower Compact and George Washington’s Prayer in “God Created America!”.
That covenant was fulfilled for 350 years and resulted in America’s growth from a few ragged colonies to be the preeminent nation in the world - funny how following God’s will results in manifold blessings - Luke 6:38, James 1:25, Prov 3:1-2, Deuteronomy 28 It was re-avowed on other beaches as well: Tarawa, Bougainvillea, Omaha, Iwo Jima, …
When the Marxist Warren Court moved to remove God from our Nation3 {Engel v. Vitale(1962)}, they did so believing Americans would fail to fight this blatant attack on our Covenant Nation. Sadly, they were partly right, but they didn’t understand the power of the remnant.
For fifty years, believing Americans fought Roe v. Wade(1973)4, the Baal-inspired legitimizing of the murder of unborn babies on the alters of convenience, promiscuity and unrestrained lust. Which continued the attack on God in our Nation. That long battle created an army of prayer warriors, many of whom are also bold frontline warriors, legislative champions, and media messengers.
Donald Trump, in his first term, foreshadowed miracles to come with his inspired appointments of Justices Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Barrett. These appointments shifted the Court’s ideological balance, enabling the 5-4 majority in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization (2022) to overturn the 1973 precedent that enabled the murders of 63 million babies.5
A number of books have been written, comparing Donald Trump to Cyrus who freed the Jewish people from 70 years of captivity in Babylon and bankrolled them to return to Jerusalem to rebuild the temple. (Ezra 1:1–4) 6
I understand the reasoning for that linking but Cyrus didn’t saddle up with Nehemia and head out to Jerusalem. Instead, he a returned a conquered people to their homeland while he pulled together a newly-conquered kingdom. 7 So the linking works in the sense of freeing a conquered people but it breaks down in that Cyrus but remained a Zoroastrian and on 13 July 2024, in Butler, PA when God, miraculously, saved Donald Trump from an assassin’s bullet, anointed him and empowered him as a Holy Servant in Saving America. We all saw that on TV - you saw the blood on his ear, you saw the blood on his right hand, did you wonder why his shoe was pulled off?8
And, the world has seen Trump’s acknowledgment of God’s saving of his life and assigning him the task of Saving America - many times over. And, we have all seen the world acknowledge the power God instilled in him.
So if Trump isn’t Cyrus, who is he? Well, he’s a rough, strong, accomplished man who once was a Democrat and who’s life has been saved by God and assigned a tough task with many people, in many places, who don’t share his beliefs.
Sounds like Paul to me.
And it sounds like Paul for another reason - Paul was a communicator9, he wrote most of the New Testament - yes, I know Luke wrote more words which just proves Paul was the better communicator.
Let’s look at some more parallels:
Paul built churches, argued with the “church” aka the Establishment in order to build a better church. Sounds like Trump.
Paul brought the Gentiles into the church. Trump asked American minorities “What have you got to lose?” and then showed them what they have to gain.
Paul fought the church over trying to force Gentiles to be circumcised, as grown men (not a good thing) - his argument was “loving Jesus is more important”. Trump has over and over reached out to groups and said “MAGA is for people who love America, come as you are”. Anyone who’s been to a MAGA rally has seen the result of that outreach.
So, you may ask, why does this matter? Well, it matters most to Bible-believers who understand the argument I gave above. But, all Americans are steeped in Bible concepts every hour of every day - even self-professed atheists - the Bible is the most printed book in the history of the world. The Bible was not the first printed book, but it was the first major printed book in Europe and a pivotal milestone in the history of printing. selected
My main point is God is moving in America, and therefore in the world. God is saving America because it is His will. God created America that the Gospel and the Kingdom of God might be taken to “all the earth”. God has anointed and empowered Donald Trump as His Holy Servant to Save America.
Americans, people who love Jesus and love America, have a responsibility to the Lord God, Our Father to dedicate our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor to the His Mighty Work in Saving America.
After conquering Babylon in 539 BCE, Cyrus the Great proclaimed himself “King of Babylon, King of Sumer and Akkad, King of the Four Corners of the World” in the Cyrus Cylinder, an inscription placed in the foundations of the Esagila temple dedicated to the god Marduk.
This title affirmed his legitimacy as the ruler of Babylon and its vast territories, positioning him as the divinely appointed successor to the ancient Babylonian kings. The Cyrus Cylinder portrays him as a restorer of order, justice, and religious freedom—reversing the policies of the previous king, Nabonidus, and returning displaced peoples and their gods to their homelands.
Anointing of AAron and his sons during consecration of service - Exodus 29:20
Paul is the most prolific author in terms of the number of books, having written 13 letters (epistles) attributed to him. However, his total word count is 32,408 (23.48%), placing him second overall. While Paul is often assumed to have written most of the New Testament due to the high number of books, Luke wrote more words, making him the top contributor by volume.
